 Took this a few years ago while camping in Cape Cod. Took the jeep onto the sand (National Seashore) and faced the Atlantic. Found this fishing boat floating around with birds following. I exposed for the sky, looking to keep the boat low key.

Processing:
1) Hue/Sat in the reds and yellows, no mask
2) Channel mix, monochrome, increase red and green, luminosity mode to bring out textures of water
3) Selective color, added a little cyan and black to the cyan
4) Downward curve adjustment for the sky with ND mask
5) Overall upwards curve adjustment
6) Selective curves for black edges, including birds and boat to increase blackness
7) Selective curves for upper cloud region to increase blackness

Wonderful shot and processing. It looks very natural with the way you got the water bright enough to see good detail in the waves, and kept the sky looking so nice.

Very pretty -- I guess I like silhouettes taken against vibrant colors, and this is just about the amount I would push the saturation also ... :-)

A very nice edit with good balance to the scene (love the birds). My only suggestion would be to try to reduce the noise in that middle band of sky, particularly to the right, just a bit.
