To him it's quite the mountain to scale! Goes to show that we see as serious obstacles aren't really all that bad if we just give it a little time. Good solid composition and works well in B&W. |

I'm with the 'liking the LB effect' crowd on this and whilst it may remove the appearance of said toddlers vast climb it helps the overall feel to this shot imho. |

Hah! I've been here and done this! Would have been cool if you could have just had the little feet in focus and the rest of him heading for parts unknown. Nice B&W. |

Looks as if some "struggles" never really change, just take on different meanings, huh? I love his little body twisting and moving together. |

I can see some message about fleeting childhood due to the lensbaby blur, so I'm good with the lensbaby! And that patch on the bum, what an adorably sweet image! |

A cute shot, symbolic that our lives are a constant climb/struggle! |

This works for me. I think it's great and also think the LB does contribute much to this. |

Mister & Mister Killjoy got it wrong on this one! The toddler is winning in this photograph. IMHO. |

Ubique could be right but I think it's subtle enough and works fine. The effect eases me to the little child which making it's way in life. |

I'm with ubique on this; I don't see the LB contributing to this image in any organic or meaningful way. It's a cute shot, though :-) |

Stairs! They are always intriguing with their lines and mix of light and shadow. And then you add that little butt in there and VOILA - it's art. :~) |

I think I'd prefer it without LB. I'm a killjoy, yes? What I mean is it's somehow fighting with itself, and the empty side is winning. Yes, I know ... that makes no sense, but it's the best I can do at this hour. |

I like the candidness of this photo. |
