I like the processing used.. pushed the pic further towards the harshness that he lives now. |

Lovely- you captured this man's spirit beautifully and technically great. I'm not sure about the processing though- for me the skin looks a bit leathery and the blacks quite hard? Still beautiful though. |

Sandy, this is just another classic shot of what you do best - make people feel special. I bet this made his day. On a technical side, the lighting is just awesome; the detail on his face tells a story all on it's own. |

I like the details and the blank stare on his face. |

I believe these lovely people are drawn to you for a reason. You see so deeply into them. |

Fantastic picture! I fight myself just taking pictures of random people much less finding out the story behind the face. This is what I'm afraid I'm missing! |

Excellent details. Your focus is dead on, and the DOF perfect |

Just know I'm awe-struck at this photo, and at your gift. His ever-so-slightly raised eyebrow is so perfect. I'm not crazy but I love Alvin. |

Sandy, dear, you put me to shame with your people on the street portraits. I don't have the nerve to go up and ask people to let me take their picture, let alone find out their stories! I'm humbled! And this is awesome. |

Amazing. I may be wrong, but I don't think you can look like that with an empty head. |

Wow, Sandy, a lot of depth in Alvin's face. Beautiful as ever, of course. My wife works with these people full time. I don't know how she does it. They need more than anyone can give them.
I'm not sure I really like the vignette. For my taste, it's a little too obvious, and it seems to have caused some sort of color shift on the upper right.
But really, it's all about the face. Yes. |
