Today is bittersweet.

Sparkle is an image I never thought I'd get to take.

This is one of the most important people in my life - my beautiful friend Kellie.

A friend, a love, an Auntie to my children. A strong, brilliant woman who I adore - a woman who never believed she'd marry.

And this is her wearing her wedding ring - tomorrow she flies out with her wonderful fiance for 6 months holiday - during which time she'll marry in Costa Rica.

The sad part is, I can't be there to witness it. So today she tried on her rings to show me - and I wept.

She deserves this man, this holiday, this life - because she's wonderful, and I'm proud to know her.

And tomorrow morning, seeing her off at the airport will be tough, really tough & bittersweet.

Today was very special. I Love you Kellie.

Ah, what a lovely, touching story! Your heart must be huge, because you share so much of it with so many! She shared this moment with you - she'll share more when she returns. :-)

A wonderful time for your friend. And a great friend she has in you. All the best to the both of you.

Now, about the 6 month holiday, is that unusual?

I really like the lines of her dressing pulling me into her her hand and rings. Beautiful tribute to friends that stand the test of time. And as long as the distance is never far in your hearts, you'll always be there with her.

I like the nonchalance of this - she's not posing her arm out for your shot, it's just there. Beautiful range of tones to this b&w, and a touching story.

A bittersweet( way more sweet than bitter) story and I'm happy for you and your friend. You'll be there in spirit and she'll be back in no time! I'm a bit jealous about that 6 month holiday though, man that's a long time;-)

In the thumb, it looked like a vertical feather with hands. LOL

Many thoughts of love and best wishes to her!

Well, show her this. And show her what you wrote. And then you will be there, in every way that matters to both of you.
