Brrrrr! Another excellent shot Erin, the LB adds to the drama of the scene. Candidate for a Christmas card methinks.

I remember this scene from the winter I spent in Ohio.

I'm cold just looking at it. It has a surreal look. I like it.

My thoughts exactly! Well, nearly. Oh, all right, I didn't really think any such thing. But I do now.
The trees are exquisite. And the spy, of course. Is she walking angled towards us, or angled away from us? Advancing or receding? I do love these images filled with ambiguity and uncertainty. It's why I cry (nearly) when I see all those comments on normal challenge entries about 'tack sharp' and 'distractions'. I just want to grasp their heads and a take a big ol' nasty club and ... cry.

Wonderful capture of one of those obligations of pet ownership. I'm sure neither of them are comfortable out in that storm, but it makes such a good photo and they don't seem to mind the weather.

weave a tale of winter woes
chilling winds
endless snow

send a child on wooden sled
out onto ground's snowy bed

then the sadness turns to joy
little girl
little boy

shapes of angels
runner trails
January's holy grail

from the depths of harshest day
smiles and laughter
find their way

A chilling picture. A walk in the park with one's best friend, though a wonderland of snow, how nice!

This could be sorrowful, but with the child pulling the sled, it is more nostalgic. Like a distinct memory, now that times have changed. You weave a glorious tale with your image, Erin. :~)
