 How much I would have loved to just listen to the man that captured the American landscape in an unforgetable manor. Ansel Adam has always been an inspiration to me, yet shooting a photograph as he would have seems quite impossible. So here is my humble try of a subject that I think he might have picked as he really seemed to enjoy capturing the desert. One commonality I noticed with a lot of his photographs is a very strong use of high contrast witout losing detail. Maybe I got a little close...I am guessing a 4.8

Indeed, the weather was too perfect for a AA shot :)

I don't think the angle helps here. Sky is also a touch bland, don't you hate it when the weather won't play along!

For the Ansel Adams style I think true vertical would have served you better.
