Wow - that is quite the expression you captured! Good job recovering it from the original and that lighting around the fur is perfect. |

Noise is not a problem for me here. Nice tone adjustment to create a nice halo or aura effect, without losing detail in the shadows; you have highlights in the important places: eyes, tip of the nose, claws. I think you could reduce this to four or five tones (posterize) and still retain the essence of the subject. |

i'm sure kelli .. definitely a great save, altho the original was a great shot ..
its hard to get photographs of animals in the zoo, thru the glass or with heaps of ppl crowding around or just too far away .. well that's wot its like at our taronga park zoo in sydney ..
i love how you've processed this .. perfect in fact .. especially love his lovely little eyes and those cute-as curled over claws ..
two minutes later .. just got a phone call from my daughter ali at sydney airport .. i have to go NOW to pick her up from campbelltown which is 35 minutes from home .. 20 year old's ... sheeeeeeeesh .. !!!!
the reason i said about ali, is that she totally ruined my train of thought .. i had a few other things in my mind to say about this great shot/process but they're totally gone out'v my mind and i dont have time to sit here trying to find them again .. :) |

I think you did a great job of saving the shot. I like the enhancement of the backlit glow on his fur. |

I like the rich warm tones overall, and the great detail in the little toenails and eyes. Definitely worth saving! |

I like it. It is suitably subtle for a nocturnal creature. |

How many chucks could a wood chuck chuck, if a wood chuck could chuck wood?
Actually, its probably not a wood chuck :D
I like how the photo has a monochrome brown to it, it provides nice balance to the image overall. |

I like it. I might have tried to selectively sharpen him to get more definition in the fur but I like how soft he appears to be. |
