 I set up the shot on a table top, black background. I burned alcohol with salts added to produce some color. I took several shots until the glass bowl exploded! I wish like hell I was exposing when that happened but was not... No telling what that photo would have looked like! I was in a completely dark room, used a tripod and a shutter cable. Editing- some color saturation, violet filter, slight contrast, minimal sharpening, and small amount of noise reduction.

This is a cool pic, cool (hot!) subject, but I feel that the composition is lacking. Personally, I think a vertical crop would have emphasize the subject better.

novel idea and good effort, the indistinctness of the flames don't really contribute well to the image.
