Red-tails are quite a find. There are groups of people who spend hours waiting and watching for these magnificent birds, I guess they're called Red-tailed hawk spotters.

I've noticed the same thing. They are a real challenge to get anywhere near. Soon as that camera comes out they high tail it. |

Good shooting, Scott. Diagonals really strengthen a composition imo.

This is a cool shot with the diagonals of the branches going everywhere. Funny you should say that birds of prey get uneasy when you are around, because on my photo entry to this side challenge the bird didn't even care I was there. He/she was about 10 meters or so up a cliff and he didn't even care when I walked right to the base of the cliff. |
