Well, I gave it a 5. I was actually more intrigued by that door that seems to lead to nowhere. Now THAT is pretty cool.

I'm still intrigued by the door. I wonder how many people know it's there, or have ever used it. And the more I think about it, it's kind of sad that the tree doesn't know it's there either.

When I first looked at it, I thought it must be an entry for the "Grey" challenge. Actually I like it, but I not surprised by the score.

I'm with Ubique and Bear. It was a 7 from me. I liked the contrast of the branches with the very distinct linear forms around it.

Another of my 8's ΓΆ€” I gave 8's to both this one and the Brown Ribbon :-) I'm intrigued that Ubique and I both have exactly the same reaction to your image. It's a pity so few are willing to absorb this sort of image and let it speak to them from the photographer's heart. Wonderful shot, well done!

This will not score well I suppose, but I think it's really very clever and thoughtful too. The tree is indeed stuck among all these non-trees, and yet still competes for life even against the inanimate pretenders. It's probably losing, alas. 9.

I interpret this, by your title, to indicate the poor tree is stuck between buildings in an industrialized zone somewhere, when it would rpobably really prefer to be elsewhere. It loosely meets the challenge, but the tree doesn't appear to be you primary subject - I focus more on the door, which has its own intrigue.

i think this pic is oof and there doesn't seam to be a real subject, nothing to really catch your eye

Wish the tree stood out a little more as the main subject.

Sorry, but the tree really isn't the main subject here.
