Lots of Fire and Ice in DPC this week...like how the flame rises out of the ice..but feel it still needs something...some oomph...Don't mean to be vague :) |

Like so many of the Fire and Ice entries, this falls short of being compelling. There's no drama here, nothing to make the viewer wonder WHY there is Fire and Ice together. The image is rather flat, the flame just so-so, and the ice bland. Tough subject to do well -- that's why I stayed away from it! lol |

Interesting point of view and composition, but the ice is almost too subtle. I think the flame would work better centered in this example. |

Imo by far the best fire and ice of this challenge, the only one that goes beyond light and color and a title idea and conweys a cosmic feeling of loneliness |

The shot is lacking contrast and while you got a great capture on the flame, the overall shot is a bit boring to me. The background is also a bit distracting to me. A 4 |

Would be better without the wick. 3 |

Lack of detail in the ice makes it difficult for me to quite get the "ice" feel. Perhaps a bit better lighting or better focus would help. |
