I never quite tried to visualize the sound a pin would make as it hits the ground.....well, there is none, not even in complete silence (at least not to my ears...but they are old)....hmmm
This gives a whole new meaning for me to this old phrase....It was a fun shoot to do! I say, I will get an approx. 4.9 as I am sure that I will get points docked for the needle not falling through the air, although that is not my vision when I hear the phrase anyhow!

Simple, yet very effective. Nicely composed.

The title suggests silence and it's a wonderful image. Brilliant concept.

Excellent technically, but because you've presented "pin-sharp" as it were, it doesn't look like it's been dropped

I like this interpretation. Nice composition & lighting. It's really among my favorites for this challenge so far.

I really like the concept here & think that the execution is good. But I do get the feeling that creating a sense of movement may have helped.

no cause its a picture, pictures dont have sound

Nicely executed but the the fact you have stuck it in the surface rather than trying to catch it falling detracts a little for me

Well, it's a needle and it's impaled rather than dropping.... symbolism is askew.
