 This was shot on a tripod, with mirror lock up, in JPEG format and with a self timer. It was shot about 4 or five meters away from the car.

Try shooting this at f/5.6 or f/8 Sometimes the sharpest images are not at the largest or smallest apertures, but somewhere in-between.
