Greeting from the Critique Clubâ€Â¦
The first thing that grabs me about the photo Stand Against Fading Light is of course the dynamic colors. I like the contrast of silhouette of the tree to the background. This is the prefect time of day for a great shot like this.
I am not sure if you used a tripod or not for this shot but there is some blur. If you can I could use a tripod or something around I would defiantly use it to steady yourself. If the tree and branches were crisper I think it would have helped your score.
Another thing I would recommend is checking out the tutorial on resizing the image for the challenge. It really is beneficial and would probably help the score as well if you can maximize the size of your photo for the challenge.
You have a good eye and good timing; I look forward to more challenges from you.

Lovely silhouette and beautiful colors! Seems a bit grainy??? Maybe, oversaturated??? This would make a great web background tile! |

I like the gradient colors in the BG. So many color tone. But at the same time I think tree is little blur. Also, Too tight crop. I would have liked to see some more surroundings. |

the colors are beautiful and the composition isn't bad, but i'd like to more depth in the tree itself. |

This seems blurred and unclear. I think most of it is due to the use of excessive JPEG compression. I can also see some artifacts around the edges of the silhouette. Your file size of only 76k indicates a highly compressed image and that is what is robbing most of the detail and sharpness from this image. Check your compression settings when you save your file. Always adjust JPEG compression so that your file size is as large as possible, but within the challenge limit. (200k for this one) |

Colors are fantastic and I love the silhouettes. The negative- the focus is soft. Try using a tripod or rock, car hood anything to steady the camera. |

Interesting colour gradient in the background. The tree seems a little soft. |
