| Most definitely meets the challenge as there's no doubt your straggly tree is the main subject. I suspect he's been hit by lightning, but it appears he has weathered it well. Excellent detail, particularly in the trunk. And the starkness of the plain sky really suits your tree. This is a very good shot, in my opinion. |

| I might up the shadow tones to make them more stark against the white. :~) I like the compositoin. |

| Very interesting subject. But the starkness of the image really flattens the horizon line to the foreground. |
