I have seen this tree many times and certainly doesn't look as awesome as it really is.. It's a huge Dead tree which stands in the middle of water at the nature perserve. Often am out there in search of birds..

I don't think it's going to hold up well with all the other trees in the challenge..It's majestic enuf to catch ones eye somehow doesn't quite look that way now..

Oh, WOW. This is great. I like the simplicity here. But IMO, it's taken too close from the subject for my taste. I would have liked the shot from little far.

This would have been great in the Ansel challenge. I still like it either way. The tone variation in the tree is quite nice, I especially like the way it towers over it's backdrop. Makes it feel very big but still very alone.

A very stately old relic that certainly conveys the title very well- the use of B&W is very appropriate. Well done .
