'because I was not thinking much about iso at the time' - I can't think why not.... A really cool, and very intimate, shot. Probably just as well you had the ISO high, as it allowed for a super fast shutter speed - I can imagine that there might have been evidence of camera shake at a more usual speed! The composition works well, and the detail is pretty good, all things considering. Have you thought about burning (or is it dodging? I can never remember) the eye a little? It might help give it the appearance of a little more clarity. A real find, and an excellent addition to the side challenge portfolio. |

You are brave or crazy! :) Kissy, Kissy?? Hahaha! Nope...not likely.
Great shot with a perfect DOF and focus! He even looks a bit P.O.'ed. Amazing! |

I've seen a few rattle snakes but none in a good position to take a picture of. Well done. |

Sign of a dedicated photographer: first get the shot! Quite nice detail for that high an ISO; good thing your shutter speed wasn't set for nighttime. |

Not bad for such a high ISO. You got good clear focus on his face. |

Getting a little close to him, aren't you Waddy? You know, I have lived down here 15 years and have only seen pygmy rattlers, never a diamondback. Very nice shot for being a bit on edge. |
