 this is a macro of the seal on the gate of the royal mausoleum in honolulu where the royal family is buried.
here's a picture of the seal, it's about 10-12 inches big

Great depth of field and tones. Agree with the suggestion that this would be a great Black and white.

I like this - it has enough softness and gradation in light to add a bit of mystery to it. Definitely feels old!

I studied the photo before reading your description and found myself thinking, "There's something macabre and disturbing about this. Reminds me of death." Lo and behold, it's a mausoleum decoration! Good eye, and good shot.
