I love it that the shadow is in focus, but the person isn't. B&W works very well.

I generally don't like photos of shadows, but this is really good. Such sharpness in the shadow vs. the blur of the boy. Great comp!

Ah yes - using the selection to highlight the soul of the photograph. Dark, rich, and mesmerizing. (And for the record, having just read Paul's comment, Knopfler is right up there in the top three, with one of the others being Clapton, and leaving room for the viewer's choice of the third.)
