Fast forward to Spring. It's the view seen by a person lost in thought, lying on the grass, hands locked behind the head, one knee bent... while passive, poofy white clouds slip by. No cars honk, no children wail. No breeze rustles the no leaves. Even those darn geese have put a sock in it... and so absorbed were you by this overwhelming silence, you never noticed that them birds pooped all over the grass you're lying on.

Don't let the poopers destroy your serenity.

Any landscape photo omitting a human element could as easily be "sold" as representing "silence". I just don't think that it is in the spirit of the challenge. Sorry.

Btw I should say I have made this comment (or a variation on the theme) on every landscape (there are so many of them) that I could.

All that aside it is a really nice image - with a simple but effective composition.

Whilst I get the idea behind your shot I find it holds little interest and is rather mundane. I feel you would have gotten better results already if you had included some part of the horizon and more of the tree in your shot. 4

I can see what you're trying to convey, but chopping the tree off like this leads my eye downward out of the image.

This is very lovely, I feel that if it was cropped like an inch more, on the left side it would be ten times better. But Im kind of a cropping freak (X
Very nice photo nonetheless. Good job.

I do not understand, in my modest opinion, the link with the silence, at least not so clear.
