 I am so excited to be FINALLY submiting an entry to a challenge... my last submission was to the october 08 free-study. I always want to enter the challenges, but am either too busy or can't think of any ideas that would work. Hopefully I can get back into the habit more this year. :)

This is prety last minute... Cropped, messed with selective color, contrast, and the curves. I tried to do the "acid" editing from Melethia's tutorial here.

WOW! an all time personal low... Was the corner of the mouth and the stiff neck really that bad? :D

You got killed by the number of similarly themed entries, and your photo lacks that count-the-pores sharpness that is de rigeur for dpc. Personally I don't like your choice of frame, but the photo itself is very appealing. The brutal crop, somewhat awkward stance, "stiff neck", and partially-seen mouth all add interest for me. I also very much like the color palette.

This should have scored higher than a 4.3 without a doubt. I think the title is perfect for the challenge.

Aw, don't give up... I think I really enjoy entering challenges just for the comments. And then comments like yours make up for all the negative ones I personally don't quite understand. ;)

I loved this during voting, it should have done a ton better!! The colors, the pattern of the dress, the processing...all spot-on. Definitely not a 4.3-worthy photo...!!!!

So many "tape over the mouth" images in this challenge. I have lost count.
It just does not evoke the feeling of "Silence" to me. The title also says nothing to me. This to me says "Silenced" but not "Silence" 5
