 Shot of my son through a screen window. Shot RAW, adjusted white balance and bumped up exposure and clarity in ACR. In Photoshop, converted to B&W, resized, applied some Smart Sharpen, saved for Web.

Not sure how this image is meant to convey the feeling of "Silence" Is the title a clue? "Inner Workings"? A silent mind? Not sure but I don't get a feeling of "Silence" from this shot. 4

Great expression, the light in the eyes is great as well. The focus is a bit soft though, it looks like you were shooting through a screen door? The texture is a tad distracting. Still a great image though.

good: i see the silence here but only because of your title.

bad: i personally don't feel much here. the tones are bland, everything is blurry, the expression of the child is even without emotion. I would have deleted this from my camera. Many people say that they like constructive criticism, i hope you are one of them.

Great expression! I just wish both eyes were in sharp focus. Right eye looks great, left eye is soft. Nice shot.
