Shot on a very foggy day. Last minute entry, pp kind of a fluke. Slight crop, convert to greyscale, gamma and contrast adjustment - contrast slider had a mind of its own and this is the result. (In Irfanview). Oh, and the title is a fluke too - I thought it WAS February.

I am very pleased with the comments, and the score isn't too bad either, though I wonder how much that is the result of not having 'silence' or 'silent' in the title.

i think the stark black and white contrast works perfect for a winter scene like this. It adds to that outdoors cold kind of feeling.

good: i like the stark contrast. the silence is obvious. the blown sky works very well here. i think this would be risky entry but i like it.

bad: i know there are people that might have problems with this but this is my type of picture. so my opinion is probably irrelevant.

very nice. I originally thought that there was too much contrast, and too much detail lost in the trees, but actually, I think it works!

The Contrast is great and even though the sky is blown out it works well with the rest of the highlights.

Great symmetry, nice soft feel, but the rightmost background tree is too pixilated, unlike the rest of the shot which has great detail.
