| Lovely detail on this, and thanks for the extra info. I don't think I've seen one of these in my area; I checked a range map and I'm just a wee bit too far south of their winter range. |

This is a superb shot of this little bird. It's interesting to me that the shape of the shadow of the little twig on the bird looks almost like a pinstripe.
I have never seen one of these in the wild. They do not come this far south. |

Birds are your cream of the crop, Jane. This is a beauty, as are most of them that you submit.
Good capture again. Love the detail that is so evident on the feathers.
And the pops of rust color work beautifully both on the bird and on the branches in the distance. |
