Choosing to light only half of his face (IMO) was an excellent choice here. The background is perfect and his expression says so many things (to me). Not sure if this matters, but love the lines/stripes in his shirt. Nice choice and adds to the photo. |

This is so wonderfully cool. I hate using that word, but in this case it's exactly the right word because the photograph reminds me of the 'counter-art' art of the late 1960's, and it was very cool. It may have been the early 1970's – I know I was there, but I don't remember it too clearly. Anyway, the deadpan ordinariness of this picture is ... extraordinary! Which is the point of course. 8. |

This portrait is so menacing. I get the impression he's wearing a new shirt that his lawyer provided for him. His expression is ageless, and terrifying. I give this my Posthumous Red Ribbon  |
