Fun with a model from a recent session. Used a huge octabox for main light camera right, hair light camera right and background light camera left. Also used a reflector to light her other side of her face!

I think the lighting is done well, my critique would be the position of her left foot, it looks completely cramped and uncomfortable.

Under-rated. A very good picture.

Very moody portrait with the reds and greens...well done!

The red really pops and there is an air of mystery about it, nice image

Great setup. I might have toned down the highlights on the legs, though, or cropped up. The position of the couch in the frame is also distracting to me in relation to her positioning. I would almost prefer her being left or right of center and the couch dead center. Also, I'm thinking that the hair in the face was a stylistic choice, and that's fine, but not being able to see any part of her left eye feel weird to me. Maybe sweeping her hair the other way so you're lighting that side of her face with your key. I don't know, I've gone on too much. I do like the image, though ;)7

Red fabric and bare skin hold the eye well. Might consider placing her less directly in the center and letting a little more light in where the left eye is currently shaded. Her eye position and arm position seem to communicate uncertainty (perhaps, "am I doing this right") a bit stronger than the invitation suggested by the title.

Yeah, I look like that every morning when I get up. :~P

I like the light and shadow. That pop of red works well. If it were mine, I would have not had her centered, but that's just me. :~)
