I love my kids. I really do. They may not think I do at times, but I truly do.
As I was processing this image, it took on a greater meaning. The more I looked at it and studied the details of each shoe - each person - I realized how lucky I am to be a part of these young people's lives.
How lucky I am to have the chance to make a difference in their lives.
How they have made a difference in my life.
How I need to stop and think.....when I'm frustrated at them...how different the situation is from their perspective.
Each one is unique and have had different experiences. Some good, some bad...but all totally from a world that I don't completely understand.
I once was that age....but my experiences were so different.
Our teenagers face a whole new set of issues that we never even dreamed were possible. It's much harder to grow up in today's world....and I (along with most adults) forget that point.
What does all this rambling boil down to?
I'm not sure I could even walk two steps in their shoes let alone a full mile.
Lauren, Meghan, Jessie, Logan, Dallas, J-Will, Holly, Ryan, Jessica, Holly and Grace....
Thank you for playing along with me - again.

I like the burst of color from the shoe over there on the left. I could picture this as an ad somewhere. |

I really like the pair of shoes that jump out from the others...maybe having them a bit further into the image would have been better, nice tone |
