Wonderful detail of both the bird's form and plumage, and a type of heron I have never seen nor heard of before. There does seem to be a bit of a halo around the bird - certainly worth playing around with the edit a bit more.

Great depiction of him esp different colors of his feathers..

This is a good flight shot. I like the way the feathers seem to blend the back of it's head into it's body in this photo. It is interesting that the flight feathers in it's wing are all different colors.

"Richthofen" with an "h". "Oven" is an oven. "Hof" is a farm, an estate. V. Richthofen was an aristocrat, a baron. In formal German, the "von" would be abrreviated to show the status. :)
