| This has an arty element to it. The various textures add interest and depth, the b&w processing is also a nice touch. In all a strangely emotional apple. |

| Nice idea but I don't think the background is doing much for me. The apple is not a terribly interesting subject so the shadow needs to be quite dramatic to provide a strong impact on the viewer. I think the background here is unfortunately more interesting to look at than the apple is. 5 |
