There is absolutely, positively no reason whatsoever for a shoehorn to be stuck into the side of an apple. It simply makes one say, "what the..." (However, the effect would be even stronger to those unfamiliar with this technique.) I still love it. I think the highlights really hurt it, though. They pull your eye to them and subsequently blind you. |

i like the centered crop, the lighting on the shoehorn is good, but the burned out bit on the top of the apple is a bit distracting (aren't shiny apples a pain to photograph!). The crop at the bottom seems a bit tight and there almost seems a bit much neg space at the top. |

I like the composition and the spotlight lighting, but I feel it's a bit harsh/bright on the apple's highlights. |
