I think that not including (in the title) the number of the image you are trying to remake was a mistake that you will make you lose some tenths of points.
It does meet the challenge, execution is ok , but still does not grab my attention.

Took some courage to do this one, since it was one of the top scorers in the original Brown Ribbon Deja Vu challenge :-)

You have, of course, vastly improved on the original, no question about that. This is nicely lit and processed. I do wish you'd actually scrounged up a real arrow, I keep getting hung up on the sheer impossibility of arching with an unfletched skewer... :-)

All in all, a good, better-than-workmanlike rehashing of the brown, and a 7 from me for now.

You should clone out that apple. Great shot and expression. 9

Too much empty space near the top. Could be cropped in a bit on the sides as well.

The bottom seems crowded with so much space above the apple. Perhaps cropping a bit off the top would help. Other than that, I like this very much... oh... well... I'd like to have seen the apple stem, too. But, other than those two things... *grin*... it's very well done. Nice catchlights in the eyes and I like the look of concentration.
