 Carved the apple and placed a lit tea candle inside. Left the apple overnight to get a brownish accent around the edges of the apple. Used ambient light from my kitchen.
Wish I had time to carve another apple as I'm not happy with this but not enough time due to another business trip.

A lot of things are wrong here, particularly with the lighting and some annoying dust spots on the black surface I used, but not much I can do with it now due to basic editing rules.

Clever idea and props on the work that went into it. The color works for me, it looks nice against the black background. A very eye pleasing photo.

I tried something similar to this and couldn't pull it off so I changed my entry, very well done and the title is clever too.
