Bottom frame with minimal edits(curves in RAW conversion and sharpening are only edits)...



Both images are hdr conversions from a single RAW file converted to 1,0,-1 stops. Most of the tonality came from levels adjustments.

I just wanted to add the actual sky was closer in appearance to the b&w version than to the color. A lot of the sky detail was lost in exposing for the dark horse and had to be brought back. I didn't know at the time, but there was a sizable tornado about ten miles to the east and that is why the sky is so dramatic. See PapaBob's portfolio for actual photos of the funnel.

I especially love that top one and it's perspective. Beautiful b/w - to me more interesting and dramatic than the color. The clouds are awesome.
