Oh my, I've been known to take entire ears off. Purposefully. Whatever was I thinking? And yes, this cat probably can kick my ass. And my cats' asses. We'll keep our distance.... but she is adorable and I bet she has a great motor in her. |

I had to smile when I read your comments re the 'cropped ear,' for I like what it does to the negative space, too, & also the effect it has on the edge of the comp. Nobody said anything about the cropped whiskers, but I like that, too. The framing adds to the immediacy of the shot & complements the alert, serious face. The catchlights in the eyes give a slightly sleepy twist to the expression. IMO all cats are philosophers--I feel much more philosophical whenever I look at a cat! |

I hate "shame about" comments, as if the composition couldn't possibly have been intended. I entered the last pet portrait challenge with a cropped ear kitty, so I'm part of the club too!
I rated this one of my 9s - I liked her direct and serious gaze, just a tad pissed off. Lighting highlights in the eyes are very nice. |

Well - this is a fantastic photo. I can't believe the cropped ear issue - I mean, come ON. I agree that it gives the image a kick, as opposed to being your standard stock photo crap we see here all the time. *huff*puff*

Wow...really!?! What's on the tip of that ear that would have made such a huge difference!?! I'll proudly be in the "cropped" ear club with ya Rach!

Fantastic exposure...my taste is for more negative space above your 'Mug Shot' subject. Good Luck 8 |
