 My wife noticed the cool moon on our way home from dinner last night. We quickly hit a local parking garage and set up the camera's for some captures of it.

I think I'm getting a better hang of my camera's manual mode. This image is straight off the camera except for crop and jpg conversion.

I love the color and haze around the moon. Manual mode is great when you get used to it. I bet this would look good with one of the painting filters (watercolor, oils, etc).

very nice! I almost always shoot in manual mode. I feel like it's more fun. I was driving home last week and the moon almost looked the same as this. didn't have my camera along though.

I like it! And am impressed that you're getting a shot this good straight from camera. I still haven't gotten the hang of night shots with my camera.

Nice detail on the moon. Stick with the manual mode, knowledge of it's use will pay off big in the long run.
