this was today ..
i let charlie the budgie out of his cage as much as i can .. he's still quite young ..
katee was pretending to be enjoying her chewy hide thing, but was keeping an eye on charlie who was only a couple of feet away eating grass seeds on a plate which was on the coffee table ..
i reckon the look on katee's face says it all .. a mixture of keen interest, hope and guilt ...
i put a rope on her collar just in case she made a quick jump for charlie ..
she's very good .. when i do get charlie out i usually tell katee to leave the room, which she does with a sort'v unhappy backward glance ... i make up for it by showering her with praise ..
our older dog sasha who's a bull terrier cross was totally trustworthy with our previous budgie .. i'm not betting that katee will be .. she's got a totally different temperament to sasha ..
used bark from a squiggly gum for the background ..

i did it without the bark background as well ..

UPDATE ... Katee passed away 4th June 2019 .. and from a dog that wanted to eat the little bird .. she transitioned into sharing her food with the little bird .. what a wonderful little girl katee was ..

That Charlie is starting to give Katee a run for the spotlight LOL.
You do some of the most imaginative stuff with your photoshop skills, not to mention shooting excellent shots to begin with.

Do you have a filter for your reflections or are you just using photoshop skills? I've done it before using a bunch of steps out of a book, but wondered if you have a quicker way. I know there is a filter out there called flood or something like that.

Since this follows the cows...is the dog going to push the bird into the water or is the bird going to push the dog into the water!?! ;)

The face of desire - you crack me UP! hahahahaha!!!

Great trip, Roz! I've been so wrapped up in my 'stuff' that I totally spaced emailing you, as was my intention. This just reminded me! :o)

Katee is such a darling, but I'd keep an eye on her too :-) Another fabulous arrangement of the panels in this trip, reminds me of one of those tri-fold mirrors in a dressing room. Wicked!

Beautiful portraits of your pets and beautifully combined. The reflections are brilliant and the squiggly gum bark sort of echoes them. I like this version better, although the other is great too.

I love everything about this pictures, from the story, the colors, nice, clean detail, great processing. Love it! (if it's been my cat instead of Katee, it would have been a different stoty (LOL)

Charlie seems very undisturbed and Katee has a nice look! I prefer this background and what a beautiful processing (again).
