these wild kangaroos were at the gate that comes into our house paddock .. just standing there .. when i saw them i very slowly came around the corner of the house and started shooting them .. they're all dead now .. lol .. that's called lame humour ..
anyhoooooo .. they stood there for about five seconds looking at me and then took off .. i was a long way off and zoomed in at 154mm ..
the reason i did the magnifying look was so the 'family' was more visible especially the joey in the female's pouch ..
the horizontal panels are the progression of events sort'v ..
i started off processing this with five panels but the kangaroos became too small and details too hard to see .. it was good for the action sequence tho ..
it was late in the afternoon & overcast so the light was very bad ..

ps .. i recently recalibrated my monitor and i printed something out yesterday .. it came out much darker than wot i can see on the monitor .. i want to know if this looks too dark .. altho having said all that it is dark anyway .. like are the details lost .?. the kangaroos should be easy to see but the background gets very dark even black in areas .. its so hard to synchronize ..

They were waiting to get let in...why didn't you let them in!?! You're such a bad host! ;P

It must be totally cool to see Kangaroos in the wild like that!

You make us all try harder with your ideas. I keep looking forward to the next piece you produce. I like these guys--I'm undecided on the smoke, but I like the stacking.

Your processing is STUPENDOUS! The way you've blended these images is seamless and gives a sense of mystery to set of images. That top central image, where the whole family is lined up staring at the camera, is about the cutest thing I've seen in a long time :-)

Great series, I love the editing... my guess is, my monitor needs to be calibrated too, everything looks fine to me ;)

Beautiful again, especially the kangaroos! Although it's a dark photo I still can see a lot of detail in the background. Only the upper right part is mainly black. Hope this helps.
