 I took a little walk after church and shot both for the Gas Station and Tilted Horizon Challenges. This view of the Schuylkill River separates Center City from West Philadelphia, though the area right is called University City...I don't know there are really big boudaries, just general areas of the city. I shot both North and South from the Walnut Street Bridge. This view is North and the river wind west going past the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Post: Camera Raw adjustments in PSElements 6.0. Layer adjustments for levels, brightness/contrast and hue saturaion. Adjust sharpness. Two Crops. Spot edit dust. New Layer of levels and a layer of gradient map converting to greyscale. Opened the levels dialog and adjusted each of the RGB channels. Flatten. Two more crops. Resize. USM.

The interracting diagonals look cool. Great contrast. A very clinical look with a lack of people/cars etc.

There are lines everywhere in this shot which makes it a great shot for the tilt. It clearly shows the horizon tilt and makes a very interesting shot

Great shot...the tall building on the left works well to offset the tilted angle.
