It's amazing how the fur has almost the exact same texture and color as the bark of the tree. Excellent picture BTW. :)

Great luck catching this little guy. Well centered. The biggest area for improvement is the way the squirrel blends into the tree. And yes, I know you can't fix that particular problem. :) Possibly a different angle on the shot, with a colored background (leaves, water something?) Also great use of a shallow DOF, with the critter sharply focused and the background blurred out. |

a little fill-flash would hav both scared the heck out of this guy, and brightened him up. tough call. A little dodging and burning would help increase the contrast and bring out some features. great focus and sharpness. well done.

once too often sharpened . I go back and forth as to wether the similarity between the fur and bark are a good thing. |
