 Each year, on the first Friday in February, the department of the community college I work for has a graduation ceremony for all the students that have completed the requirements for either either the GED or Adult High School.

This woman, Ruth, dropped out of school at 16 because learning differences made school so incredibly difficult before her, and it was before there was help available. 50 years later, she passed all five of the GED tests and received her diploma. She was one of the student speakers that night.

I love this, with the lovely warm light and Ruth's happy expression, and the intent faces of the other graduates listening. I am glad you included the story.

A really nice tribute to a great accomplishment. I cannot imagine picking this up 50 years later.
