 Well after getting stuck in the middle of the pack for a few challenges I thought I would go out on a limb with this one.

I really like the image but agree that the link to 'action' might be a bit tenuious! Anyway my 7 year old said I should enter it because 'it will win a prize'. As much as I love his optimism I fear it may well go the other way.

Anyway its a bit different and it will be interesting to see how it does.

EDIT - I keep looking at this and I'm dreading the voting starting now. I think I'm going to get slaughtered! Ho Hum.

I like the idea a lot. I would have liked the rose to be sharper with all of the blur around it. Also, the light in the foreground seems very heavy. The whole picture didn't fit on my screen, so I had to scroll. I liked the top part very much, but was disappointed when I hit the bottom part. It seemed to overwhelm the rest of the picture. Fun idea, interesting colors.

I think this effect is beautiful, and it made the colors of your shot look better! Love the idea of making action on something that don't move. I just think you could have cropped the upper part and i don't see much relation of the lights with the rose, except for their colors. I'm giving you a 6. Nice shot!

im not sure what exactly the rose is caught in, but its still a beautiful photo. the rose is very pretty, its placed perfect and the lighting makes the petals look like velvet
