 Black card with a hole cut in it on a glass table with a light under it.

Long time exposure and then light up the standalone puzzle piece numerous times with a hand held flash gun.

Mainly brightness and contrast adjustment just to darken down the background.

I like the woodsy tones in this better than the cold tones from the spotlight. I think I'd like it better with warmer lighting. Just my $0.02.
