 I originally submitted a different shot but my husband picked this one as his favorite of the ones I've been able to edit. Its got pretty colors, but not really my style, so to speak. The desert is soooo big, its hard to adequately capture it anyway. But I much prefer the IR images I got...

By the way, the most useful thing I bought for the trip was a cokin graduated neutral density filter. I could move it around and it REALLY made a huge difference when photographing rocks and sky...

This is the road leading into Zion National Park. Taken around 10AM on a cloudy day, with a graduated nd filter.

For those interested, all the roads in Zion National Park are red, not black/gray. they make them out of the red sandstone, which is also in this image.

ah the highway goes on forever. Very beautiful photo. Great skyline. A color spectrum that is out of this world.

This is a beautiful road too. The balance is a little off because of the winding road but i love the shot.

I normally wouldnt say this, but it would be nice if there was more of the road in view at the bottom of the screen. Either way, a very nice capture, and I am a fan of the post-processing (which I suspect will not be mainstream).
