One of many photos that I took during my nephews Pinewood Derby on Valentines morning. It was cool to be able to catch him in victory. If I do as well as him in this contest I will finish 2nd. This being my second ever entry I don't expect to finish anywhere close to there. I am just hoping for a better score than my first and for some productive comments.

There was horrible lighting in this church and it was difficult to get a good photo. Post adjustments include:

Auto Curves adjustment
sharpen
skin smoothing
red eye
slight increase of blues and reds
border

woo hooo. Very good capture, the picture deftly tells the story.

The skin was softened a little too much for me. Makes it look a little plastic or something.

Nice color, I might have tried a little faster shutter speed. Must be Pinewood Derby somewhere!

While the image captures energy, it has more of a snapshot feeling than a photo which stands out on its own. The decapitated adults in the background and pieces of banner in the foreground add contribute to the snapshot feeling.

Too much of a snapshot for me. If the pic didn't include any of the adults' faces I think it would be stronger.
