I took this picture using a tungsten light bulb as my one light source. I rubbed Vaseline on the apple to create the water droplets. The apple is on a green cutting board and I used a blue cutting board for the background.

more green, less black & some more (slightly less harsh) light would work better for me

Not sure why this doesn't work for me - partly due to the flatness of the peeler, partly the background and floor not matching. Like the lighting though.

Good idea. In my opinion the black background does not really add to the image. The green should have been the whole background. Also the light is harsh on the peeler, and the green surface.

Very cool.
the green surface from below works as a good contrast against the red apple. Was there a light under that?
A shame that the cut off between the green and black cuts through the apple and the peeler.
