One of my favorite additions to my authentic Victorian Parlor (spare bedroom!)is this lovely German Doll (over 2 feet tall)that dates to 1869. She is sitting on a chair that belonged to my great-grandmother.

The subject didn't resonate with me.

This is a unique piece to photograph. The detail in the lace is very good and I like the overall positioning of the doll. From the lighting it seems like you were using natural window light? A little bit of glare on the reflective surfaces...consider using a circular polarizer; it would allow you to knock down those reflections considerably.

A tough subject. The shiny surface is challenging enough, but the background with the tufted surface and the lace pillow are very distracting from the lovely doll.

Perfectly captured and processed. Very nice fine detail. Good choice of background that compliments the whole.

This like a lot of other shots in this challenge feels very much like it is just documenting the object rather than making a good photo out of it. I think what has caused that here is the background. Also, what I can only assume is a cushion to the left is just in the way.

Nice idea, very sharp which is good, but perhaps moving the doll into the left half of the frame and giving it some room on the right side would be interesting
