Skin looks nice but the background seems too close and wrinkled

Background paper crinkled, the lighting scheme accents the model's nose. Shadow under eyes not pleasant.

Cute photo, but has a few flaws.
The background creases are the main one.
Move your model further from the background and use a wider aperture to throw it out of focus.
Try to avoid creases in the first place.
Lighting is OK. I would prefer less shadow from the on camera flash. You can use it, but dial it down more. Maybe try getting further back and use a telephoto.

a little too sharp for my taste... plus you can see the flash in her gums. That's the only thing I would change.

dosnt think the purple background adds anything to this image - its a ok portrait with a not so ok background - just my opp

Background is too messy (wrinkles!!) Light a little harsh. Otherwise nice natural expression and well composed portrait.
