I'm hoping to leave comments on as many photo's in this challenge as possible... out of (currently) 1120 images, I gave 98 of them an 8. Your image was one of those 98, placing you well within the top 10% for this challenge.
Lots of sunset and pier pictures in this challenge but this is one of the better ones. Nice lead in lines, good use of thirds, and a nice dark brooding sky, lit from below. The water has a nice sheen to it too. A nice shot.
Good luck for a strong finish in this challenge. |

| Voted earlier coming back to leave comments now. Wonderful shot of this remote beachside pier!! Love how you composed the shot such that the boardwalk extrudes out from the bottom left corner to travel to the center portion where we see the pier rest area, perhaps a loading dock and a boat. That adds tremendous visual appeal for it give the eye a natural path to travel on; a leading line that leads off to the vanishing point off into the horizon. Colors are great too with some nice cloud patterns & color and nice silvery blue gleams upon the water. |

| Nice one point perspective. The triangular geometry juts into this image and is a little jarring amidst the organic forms of the clouds. But this all comes together in a rather interesting way which works for the most part. |
