 This photo was taken in Florida. I forgot the name of the exact location. It was a park. The day was simply superb. I saw this butterfly with its beautiful wings spread out. What you are looking at is not real sky/clouds. It's the water reflection of the sky/clouds. You will realise the moment you see the ripples!

The ripple behind the stalk the butterfly is on makes it difficult to figure out perspective on this.

lots of stuff going on that distracts my eye from the butterfly.. you have three focus points and not one.. I am confused

This picture is slightly disorienting, which sets it apart, in a good way, from other shots of butterflys. I would have liked to see the butterfly a little brighter.

Interesting shot. Wish we could see the butterfly a little better, but that's probably hard to do with a reflection shot. His (the butterfly's) colors are neat though. I also like the ripples down at the bottom. I think a little more clarity and maybe a slightly different composition would improve this shot a lot.

I have to mention that the treatment here is unique. Maybe a little fill flash to light up the butterfly.

This shot really made me stop to examine it. I'm still not sure what I'm looking at, but the colors are really rich, and the lighting on the leaves is wonderful. I also really like the lower ripples, and am mystified as to whether the upper ripples and butterfly are the reflection or the real thing :-)

Almost looks like two photos in one. If not for the ripples at the bottom indicating water, I would've thought the butterfly was shot against a sky background. Very nice.

At first glance, I thought I was looking *up* at cornstalks. Neat effect. I like the cooler colors in this.

I love the ripples in the background, right behind the leaves on the bottom. seems to have an off cast to it, though.
