Photo taken at the shore close to Lelystad, The Netherlands, when a thunderstorm was coming in.

Post-process: I have a Dutch PSP9, so I don't know if I get the English names right.
Cloned out a few dust speckles.
Put in a tiny bit of brightening/contrast.
a touch of Neat Image.
Resized to 720 pixels.

I like to photograph the Dutch skies, because they're big and beautiful.

Nice rays in the shot... I would prefer this if the sail boat were more prominent.

the boat has too little impact, cloudscape not dramatic enough,

Very nice shot. I brought it into photoshop, and it does seem like you could bring out the sun rays a little more and get a little more depth/contrast from the sky.

Great shot of storms at sea and the boat heading into harbor. Hard to tell if it has any canvas aloft.

Nice shot; perhaps needs more of the foreground or its elimination entirely.

Sailing home? Without the sails up?

I see the light beaming down (which has an optical effect of moving towards the viewer) overbearing on the storm which appears to be leaving off to the right (and moving away from the viewer).

As such, I would have sliced off the land and gently cloned out the tall grasses.

It's got great potential and is a well-spied moment. If you want, you can PM me and I can show you what I mean more clearly. :)

Just for 'happy voting', I'm going to give you a score based on an average of what I see as the potential for this image and what I see in the image... and rounded up. :

a little more contrast would bring out great detail out of the clouds, and personally i would crop the grass at the bottom of the picture, not really necessary in my opinion

I love the rays of sun shining directly toward the lone boat. The relaxed blues and hues of this are nice.

Very nice. I'd have liked the sunbeams a bit more pronounced. Maybe a bit of dodging & burning (but then that's my opinion)

Good composition, I like being able to see the light rays, and I think a little more contrast would help you be able to see them better.

I think the sky needed to be more dramatic but I love the little boat. Just that a little more editing would have been nice.

Looks like rain to the right. A peaceful scene.

It would have been stronger - in my opinion - if you had left out the foreground and waited until the boat catches some rays of sunlight.

Nice serene image with the beautiful light rays captured some the sky. Perhaps some contrast and a selective colours adjustment layers may have lifted this image to another level. Good luck: 6.
